Adventures in Bento: Day 8

On Monday, when I made the girls bagel sandwiches, both said they liked the idea, but Tatem requested that sometimes it just have cream cheese and no meat. So today, I opened up the new tub of pumpkin spice cream cheese (golly, I love fall and all it’s flavors!) and made them plain mini bagels and cream cheese. To make sure they got some protein, though, I added some cut up chicken hot dogs that were leftover in the package from dinner a few nights ago, with a cat fork. There’s also some ketchup in the blue container, because my girls are the type of children that like a little hot dog with their ketchup, if you know what I mean. :o)
Tier two has more grape tomatoes since my girls eat those like candy. Delaney really like that I skewered her tomatoes for snack on Monday, so I went ahead and added a flower pick today too. Such a minor addition, but it really makes them happy and that makes me happy. Then, to fill out the rest of the tier, I added a few grapes, cut in half lengthwise to make them fit better and Tatem requested gummy penguins again today for their treat.

Oh, and I’m sure you noticed that thing sitting on top of the bagel. It’s a Big Island Pineapple from Dried pineapple, yo. Better than candy, I tell ya. A couple of months ago, Ron and I were talking about how we’d like to have some healthy snacks in the house for those late nights watching TV or that 3pm munchy need. I came across Nature Box purely by accident and am so glad I took the chance! Each month, for less than $20, they send us a box of snacks. There are 5 packages of snacks, each 3-6 ounces, which is the same size as you’d find at the stores, and they are all different healthy snacks. You could get nuts, dried fruit, granolas, crackers, cookies, etc. And they have no high fructose corn syrup, no partially hydrogenated oils, no trans fats, and no artificial colors, flavors, or sweeteners. They have special gluten free, dairy free, soy free, GMO free, and vegan snacks, if that’s what you need. You can let them surprise you each month, or you can pick out exactly what gets sent to you. Plus, you can double your order for only $10 more, or add on one or two extra snacks, if you so choose! All with free shipping. It’s an awesome company and a really good deal, I think. The shipment has always been on time and the snacks are always tasty. I highly recommend you try them out.

Now, I’m not getting anything from Nature Box to say what I just said, but as a member, I do get a little free snacks if I refer people, and I’m always up for free snacks, so if you want to go here when you order, I can get credit for referring you. No worries if you don’t want to do that, though, I just really want people to be able to get the joy out of these snacks that I have. :o)
